  • It comes from the founders’ first names. Kelvin + Katrin = K2

  • Contrary to popular assumption, Kelvin and Katrin are not a couple and both have separate families.

    Our office hours are 10-5pm, Monday to Friday. We aim to respond to your query within 1-2 working days, but it may take us longer in the busy periods or during the summer holidays.

  • We are based at Cockpit Bloomsbury, in Central London, a short walk from the Hatton Garden jewellery quarter. Our full address is:

  • All materials are included in the price, except for precious metals (silver, gold) and precious stones. Use of base metals such as copper and brass is included in the course fee.

    Our studio is fully equipped in good quality jewellery tools. Use of all tools is included in the course fee, so you don’t need to bring any tools with you to the classes.

  • We have plenty of courses that are beginner friendly. If you wish to learn basic jewellery making, our beginner and mixed-level jewellery workshops or Level 3 Diploma are the best options for you. Additionally, for the majority of the specialist short courses you do not need any prior experience. If you are unsure whether a course is suitable for you, please contact us prior to booking so we can discuss it.

  • Our specialist short courses can be booked via the online booking system on our website. To book the 10-week Friday Workshop or a Diploma Courses please get in touch via email info@k2jewelleryacademy.london. We will send an invoice to you via email with our bank details. The payment will be required via bank transfer. If you would like to pay for any of the courses in cash, please get in touch via email, so we can arrange this.

  • The tuition fee for the Diploma Courses can be paid upfront, in 3 termly instalments or 11 monthly instalments. Please contact us via email to find out more details. Payments for short courses have to be settled upfront.

  • There are max. 8 students in each class, which allows for quality time with the tutor and individual approach to students’ learning and development.

  • We accept students of all ages, however students under 18 years old must provide a written permission from a parent / guardian to attend the course.

  • At the moment we do not hold a visa sponsorship licence, so we are not able to accept students who require a student visa to stay in the UK. However, anybody who can legally enter and stay in the UK (without any involvement from our side) for the duration of the course can enrol on our courses. We are hoping to be able to sponsor student visas in the future.

  • Yes, gift vouchers can be purchased in our online shop here.

  • We are unable to refund fees for any missed classes. We may be able to offer you an opportunity to make up the class on another day, which is subject to availability. Note that evening classes cannot be made up on another day.

  • Upon successful completion of the SQA-accredited Level 4 Diploma course you will receive an official SQA certificate. A certificate of completion of any other course is available upon request.

  • You can sign up to our mailing list to receive regular updates. Or follow us on Instagram.

  • We host Open Studios as part of Cockpit Bloomsbury Open Studios twice a year, in June and November. Diploma students and daytime workshop students can submit pieces for display, which is curated by K2 directors. A selection of pieces is chosen from those submitted by the students.

  • Yes, both the building and our workshop are wheelchair accessible. However some adjustments might have to be made. Please contact us prior to booking a course to discuss your needs in detail, so we can access whether our studio can accommodate them.
